The President Bola Tinubu-led administration has come out to say that it never lied about the controversial fuel subsidy scheme in the country.
The rebuttal was contained in a post on X by Bayo Onanuga, one of the spokespersons for the president.
Onanuga said the government has been faithful to its policy that it was no longer going to pay fuel subsidies after Tinubu announced the deregulation of the PMS sector on 29 May 2023.
