Finidi George has explained the reason behind his failed stint as head coach of the Super Eagles, DAILY POST reports.
Finidi took charge of the Super Eagles in interim capacity in March this year, managing the team in the friendlies against perennial rivals Ghana and Mali.
The former Ajax winger was named substantive head coach of the three-time African champions two months later.
The gaffer however resigned after the Super Eagles failed to record a win in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
