Thinklab Group Limited has taken a significant step towards prioritising employee welfare, by implementing the N70,000 new National Minimum Wage across its organisation.
The Group Managing Director of the firm, Dr. Babagana Mohammed Adam, made this known at the Executive Management Meeting of the firm held at its head office Conference Room in Abuja.
LEADERSHIP reports that President Bola Tinubu had a few days ago signed the National Minimum Wage Bill 2024 into law.
Dr. Adam stated that the company’s decision demonstrated its commitment to fair compensation, enhanced workforce satisfaction, and economic stability, noting that by adopting the new National Minimum Wage, Thinklab Group Limited will ensure all employees receive fair compensation for their contributions, reflecting the company’s recognition of its employees’ value and dedication.
He disclosed that the introduction of the new minimum wage brings numerous benefits, including improved financial security and job satisfaction for employees, increased productivity and motivation, reduced employee turnover and recruitment costs, and enhanced organizational stability.
The GMD added that Thinklab Group Limited’s decision also contributes to a healthier economy by reducing income inequality, increasing purchasing power and demand for goods and services, and stimulating local businesses and economic growth.
He further stated that, “As an industry leader, Thinklab Group Limited sets an exemplary standard for other private organisations, believing that adhering to the National Minimum Wage is a moral obligation that inspires others to follow suit and creates a positive impact on the labor market.”
