The eldest son of President Bola Tinubu, Seyi Tinubu, on Sunday night, reassured Nigerians to exercise patience with his father’s administration as they weather the challenging economic times.
This was followed by the hardship protest, which commenced nationwide from August 1st, and was scheduled to run for ten days, ending August 10th.
In his Sunday speech, the president called for the immediate end to the #EndBadGovernance protests as he addressed Nigerians, saying he heard them loud and clear.
Despite the president’s speech, protesters in Kano State, Benin, Jos and other parts of the country continued the ongoing nationwide protest against hunger and bad governance.
Directly addressing the youth, Seyi Tinubu in a video shared on Instagram on Sunday night expressed his gratitude for their support and reassured them that his father is committed to fulfilling all his promises.
He said: “I want to thank you for the faith you have in our president, and i guarantuee you that President Bola Tinubu will not fail. Nigeria, the hope we have been looking for and hoping for, is here. The president that we are all hoping for, is here.”
