FCT, Abuja – A nursing mother said she joined the hunger and hardship protest because her husband was killed by bandits in Katsina state.

The widow said she also joined the protesters at Eagle Square, Abuja because of the hardship in the country.

She accused the police of shooting teargas at protesters, asking if the police operatives wanted to kill her baby.

As reported by TheCable, she said people cannot eat because things are hard in the country.

“I came to protest the hardship in Nigeria and the police are shooting tear gas at us. Do they also want to kill my baby? People cannot eat. Things are hard.”

Henzodaily.ng earlier reported that a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, urged the planned hardship protesters to reduce the protest to one day or a maximum of three days.

Adegboruwa accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led federal government of sponsoring hooligans and thugs to disrupt the protests in many parts of Lagos state.

The prominent lawyer advised the #EndBadGovernance protesters to make known their demands to the federal government and give Tinubu’s administration time to address them.

Protest: Police disperse youths attempting to break Kano

Henzodaily.ng earlier reported that some youths attempted to break into a two-storey building housing Sadaraki Stores along Zoo Road in Kano state during hunger and hardship protests.
