Favour Ofili has moved on from the disappointment of failing to win a medal in the women’s 200m event at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Ofili finished in sixth position in the final of the event on Tuesday night, clocking 22.24s.

USA’s Gabrielle Thomas won gold with a time of 21.83s, Julien Alfred took silver with 22.08s, while Brittany Brown went home with bronze in a time of 22.20s.

The 21-year-old, who was making her debut at the Olympics, took to the social media to thank her coach.

“Tried to be mentally ready regardless of the shocking news I took a few days back. I gave it my all from lane 9. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it,” she wrote on X.

“Thank you, Coach Shaver. Having you around made everything a lot easier for me.”

Ofili is now looking forward to competing in the women’s 400x100m. “Next 4×100. On God,” she added.
