In a move aimed at improving the welfare of civil servants, Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has approved a new minimum wage of N72,500 for workers in the state.
This surpasses the federal government’s national minimum wage by N2,500.
This approval was announced during a ceremony held at the Government House in Lokoja on Monday, where the state’s Minimum Wage Implementation Committee, led by the Head of Service, Elijah Avenemi, was in attendance.
