Favour Ofili has qualified for the semi-finals in the women’s 200m race event at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics.
Ofili secured her spot by winning heat 6 with an impressive time of 22.24 seconds on Sunday morning.

She outpaced Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith, who finished second with 22.28 seconds, and Gina Bass-Bittaye, who came third with 22.84 seconds.
This achievement follows the Nigerian’s decision to withdraw from the 100m race at the Olympics, citing administrative issues with the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) and the Nigerian Olympic Committee (NOC).
Ofili, at just 21 years old, continues to be a standout athlete for Nigeria at the ongoing Olympics in Paris, France.
