A Kano State Hisbah Board official, Malam Aliyu Dakata, has retracted an earlier report that led to widespread allegations of misconduct against Jigawa State’s Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal Sankara.
The allegation which dented the image of Sankara, has now been removed, clearing his name of any inappropriate behaviour with a married woman, Tasleem Baba Nabegu.
The accusations led to the Commissioner’s suspension by the Jigawa State Governor.
Dakata gave the clarification in a recent interview, stating that Sankara was not involved in any immoral act.
