Operatives of the , FCT in synergy with troops of the Guards brigade have at least six terrorizing parts of the nation's capital.

A statement issued on Friday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Joesphine Adeh said the suspects were arrested during clearance operations in some identified bandits camps in and Niger States bordering the FCT.

The PPRO said the operations were carried out between June 30 and July 4, 2024, when the operatives stormed some identified bandits camps in Gidan Dogo and Jerei forests, , and Niger State.

The suspects include Inusa Musa, Isiya Adamu, Kare Gambo, Aminu Musa, and Muhammed Ibrahim.

According to police, the criminal elements have voluntarily confessed to being involved in a string of kidnappings in FCT and its environs.

“While the operatives are still navigating the identified bandit camps and hideouts in the forests and hills in and around FCT, the FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, psc, mni, reaffirms the command's steadfast commitment to ensuring the security and safety of residents of the nation's capital”, she added.
