No fewer than 50 communities have been cut-off when the bridge across Ipin River in Eruwa, Ibarapa East local government area of Oyo State collapsed due to flooding from torrential rainfalls.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the area witnessed heavy downpour between Friday and Saturday last which put pressure of the bridge to cave in to the forceful water torrents.
Residents of the area appealed to the Oyo State Government for intervention even as they charged the chairman of the local government area, Hon. Kazeem Arogundade, to expedite action in reconstructing the collapsed bridge.
