Eniola Bolaji has won the first medal for Nigeria in the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. She defeated Kozyna Oksana of Ukraine 2-0 (21-9 and 21-9) to win the bronze medal in para badminton in the Women Singles SL3 category.
Bolaji put up a brilliant performance to beat her opponent. She made history by being the first African to win an Olympic medal. Bolaji had, on Sunday, lost the semi-final match to the world number 2 seed (2-0).
