Bayern Munich are on the verge of appointing Vincent Kompany as their new head coach, succeeding .

The have already agreed on personal terms with Kompany, but finalizing the deal hinges on negotiations with , who recently faced relegation from the Premier League.

Burnley are reportedly demanding €20 million for the release of Kompany, while Bayern Munich have so far offered €10 million.

A compromise is expected to be reached at around €15 million.

According to Bild, Bayern Munich are not considering Kompany as a temporary fix and are set to offer him a three-year contract, keeping him at the Allianz Arena until 2027.

The follows Bayern's previous rejections by several high-profile coaches, including , , and Oliver Glasner.

Despite speculation that Bayern might be seeking a short-term solution before pursuing Alonso or Jürgen Klopp next summer, Kompany has been a primary target for the club's sporting director, Max Eberl, from the beginning.
