A section of the Eleme Local Government Council secretariat in Rivers State has reportedly been set ablaze.
Henzodaily reports that the incident occurred just days after the Rivers Local Government Elections, in which the Action Peoples Party (APP) won most seats.
According to Channels TV, the newly elected chairman of the Eleme LG, Brain Gokpa, arrived at the council secretariat accompanied by his councillors and supporters but discovered that a few of the buildings in the council had been set ablaze.
