Favour Ofili zoomed into the final of the women’s 200m at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games on Monday.
Ofili is the first Nigerian woman to qualify for the final of the 200m at the Olympics in 28 years.
The elegant Mary Onyali was the last Nigerian to achieve the feat at Atlanta 1996.

Onyali also claimed bronze medal in the event.
Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred won the first semi-final, crossing the line in a time of 21.98s.
Ofili finished second with a season’s best of 22.05s.
McKenzie Long of the United States of America came third in a time of 22.30s.
