Cyriel Dessers scored and also provided an assist in Rangers’ 2-0 win against St Johnstone, in round 16 of the Scottish League Cup on Saturday.
It is Dessers’ third goal in his last four games for Rangers so far in this campaign.
Leon Balogun was not included in the game as Rangers begin the defence of the League Cup.
Dessers was introduced into the game before the start of the second half and broke the deadlock in the 61st minute.
Rabbi Matondo played in Dessers who took a touch before sending a composed right-footed shot beyond St Johnstone keeper.
The goal was initially disallowed by the referee for a foul in the build-up, but after a review by VAR it was eventually given.
With two of the eight minutes of added time played, Rangers made the end to the game more comfortable with that all-important second goal thanks to Ross McCausland.
The Northern Irishman picked-up a return pass from Dessers inside the box and made no mistake in sending the ball beyond the keeper.
Rangers will find out their quarter-final opponents on Sunday afternoon, with the ties due to be played on the weekend of September 21/22.
