The First , Mrs. has issued an impassioned call for early intervention and greater societal inclusion for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

In a statement to mark Autism Awareness Day, Mrs. Tinubu emphasised that early diagnosis and access to support services are critical to helping those on the autism spectrum reach their full potential.

“I urge and caregivers to be attentive to developmental milestones and seek professional help if any concerns arise,” she urged.

The First Lady highlighted the tremendous challenges faced by autistic individuals and their families, but celebrated their unique strengths and creativity.

“I salute and celebrate the unwavering and dedication of families with loved ones who are autistic,” Mrs. Tinubu stated.

She underscored the vital role played by community organisations in providing essential resources, services, and opportunities for autistic persons.

However, Mrs. Tinubu stressed that more must be done to create an accepting and inclusive environment for with autism.

“Together we can create a world where individuals, irrespective of who they are, and whatever challenges they , are empowered, included, and celebrated for their unique ,” the First Lady declared.
