Kogi State Governor Usman Udodo on Wednesday visited his predecessor, Yahaya Bello in his residence.

Ododo stormed Bello's residence in the Wuse Zone 4 area of Abuja following a siege by the , EFCC.

EFCC had stormed Bello's residence in an attempt to him following an ongoing investigation.

The anti-graft agency recently named Bello in an ongoing case but is yet to formally charge him.

Bello's nephew, Ali Bello, and his associate, Dauda Suleiman, the two defendants in the case, were accused of diverting funds belonging to Kogi State.

But in the newly introduced count, the two defendants in the case were accused of conspiring with Bello to convert the total sum of N80.2 billion (N80,246,470,089.88) belonging to Kogi State to personal use.

The former governor, however, said EFCC's action was contrary to a subsisting granted February 9, 2024 by the Kogi State High of Justice, Lokoja Division, in Suit No. HCL/68M/2024 between him and the anti-graft agency.

He noted that the court restrained the EFCC either by itself or its agents from harassing, arresting, detaining or prosecuting him, pending the hearing and determination of the substantive fundamental rights enforcement action.
