Gov Oborevwori Condemns Killing Of Military Personnel, Vows Justice For Victims  

Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has condemned the killing of officers and attached to 63 Brigade at , Ughelli South Local Area of the state.

Oborevwori, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon expressed deep shock and dismay at what he described as the appalling act, emphasizing that his administration will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the perpetrators the full wrath of the law.

The governor stated that the state government is gravely disturbed by the violence and unprovoked killing of the officers and soldiers, which he described as alien to the culture of Deltans.

“This incident is despicable and not in sync with the culture and tradition of Deltans. It runs contrary to the values and path of peace that the State Government is promoting as I have always emphasized in our MORE agenda to enhance peace and security.”


Governor Oborevwori extended his heartfelt condolences to the and the families of the deceased officers and soldiers, reiterating his unwavering commitment to ensuring justice for the fallen heroes.


“On behalf of the Government and good people of Delta State, I wish to condole, in particular, the families of the killed gallant officers and soldiers, the Army and the Armed Forces of in general, over this sad occurrence,” he stated.


Highlighting the government's determination to apprehend the culprits, Governor Oborevwori declared that the state government shall take all measures necessary to fish out all those behind the dastardly act and ensure they are made to face the full wrath of the law.


He emphasized that Delta State operates within the framework of the rule of law and human decency, firmly asserting that such heinous acts will not be tolerated.


“Delta State is governed within the tenets of the rule of law and human decency. Acts such as this incident cannot and will not be tolerated,” Governor Oborevwori affirmed.


He urged all citizens and residents of the state to remain law-abiding, assuring them that the State Government will continue to prioritize the protection of lives and property in Delta State.
