The Federal has disclosed that ransom was not paid to effect the release of the schoolchildren abducted in the Kuriga area of .

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, disclosed this while addressing State correspondents on Monday.

Recall that 137 schoolchildren were kidnapped in Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area of State on March 7 by .

On Sunday, Governor of Kaduna State announced the release of the abducted pupils.
