The Prelate of Methodist Nigeria, Oliver Ali Aba, has said that and world economy rely on Nigeria's large population to prosper.

The Prelate said this on Friday at Okai Item, Bende LGA of Abia State, during the 60th celebration of Methodist Bishop, Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha.

He said that the nation's population of about 200 million gives her a comparative economic advantage in the comity of nations, adding that the country is blessed with several natural and human resources in parts of the country.

He declared that Nigeria is on track for progress, despite the mirage of problems confronting the country.

According to him, the world economy can not do without the Nigeria because of her increasing population.

“Nigeria today is passing the level of struggles, struggling to be great.

If you know very well, with our population of about 200 million, Nigeria means more to the wider world, both the African continent and the whole world at large, in terms of what it takes to be great economy.

“And so, the whole world is leaning on us because of our population . So, we are on the track of progress until it is fully settled, the Methodist Prelate said.

Ali Aba, who also conducted the , admonished wealthy to give back to the society by helping the poor.

Speaking at the , former Governor of Bauchi State, Isa Yuguda, lamented that many Nigerians can't even access drinking water when members of the National Assembly are appropriating billions to themselves.

Also speaking, former President, , who was a special guest at the event, eulogized Bishop Sunday Onuoha on his 60th birthday and for building for his people, Okai Item, saying that it would save the lives of the rural populace.
