The Presidency has reacted to the rescue of the abducted students from Kuriga area of .

President 's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, , thanked God for the release of the students, while commending Governor Sani Uba.

Posting on X, Onanuga wrote: “We thank God that the have been released by their captors. Congrats Gov. Sani.”

DAILY POST had reported that the 287 Kuriga children recently abducted by the in Kaduna State have regained their freedom.

This was disclosed by Governor in the early hours of Sunday.

Recall that bandits terrorizing the state had invaded LEA Primary School Kuriga and Junior Secondary School, Kuriga town, in Chikun Local Government Area of the state on March 7 and whisked away 287 students, including a principal, Abubakar Isah to an unknown destination.

The assailants demanded for N1 billion ransom as the only condition for the release of the children.

It was unclear if the children were rescued by security operatives or ransom was paid.
